POWERFUL CNC MACHINING
The STEPCRAFT Q-Series meets your needs as a gantry milling machine or as a universal milling machine. This makes the CNC machine suitable for a wide range of industries: from woodworking in carpentry to metalworking and advertising technology.
The STEPCRAFT Q.408 can effortlessly process panel materials up to a length of 2.60 meters and a width of up to 1.30 meters. NEMA 34 Closed-Loop stepper motors ensure powerful and fast drive on all axes. The CNC gantry is accelerated using two electrically synchronized stepper motors (gantry system) to ensure maximum travel safety and speed.
CNC: PRECISION AND RELIABILITY
The Q-Series ensures optimal precision and reliability in the manufacturing and processing of high-quality workpieces. To achieve this, the machine frame has been uniformly reinforced, and steel components have been used in structurally high-stress areas. In addition, HIWIN® ball screws are used on all axes to achieve optimal efficiency. This results in a repeatability of +/- 0.012 mm and a backlash of < 0.03 mm.
SOLID FRAME
- 10 crossbeams, 12 junction plates, and 6 integrated machine legs, along with the two massive Y-axis crossbeams, form a torsion-resistant machine base.
- Creating an optimal support surface for the machine table, which, when fully bolted, contributes to additional reinforcement of the frame.
STRONG COMPONENTS
- Custom aluminum support axles with optimized torsional and bending stiffness, as well as improved self-damping.
- 20 mm wide high-precision ball rail guides on all axes.
- Portal side panels made of 20 mm thick aluminum sheet.
- Steel connectors at structurally heavily loaded points.

- NEMA 34 Closed-Loop stepper motors on all axes
- HIWIN® ball screw drive with 20 mm diameter on all axes
- Double implementation of stepper motor and ball screw drive on the Y-axis (Gantry System) for maximum agility, reliability, and precision.
